Yufei Zou

Biography: Yufei grew up in Changsha, China, and developed an early interest in mathematics and data. She earned her B.S. in Statistics from NC State University and her M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Tulane University before beginning her Ph.D. in Data Science at UNC Charlotte. Her research includes statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and sports analytics. In addition to her academic pursuits, Yufei values building connections across diverse communities and enjoys meeting people with different backgrounds. She is always open to exploring new areas of research and personal growth. Outside of her studies, she enjoys traveling, playing piano, video games, and badminton.
